Precious metals pared their losses on the COMEX Thursday, with silver for March delivery finishing lower by $0.18, or 0.6%, at $30.09 per ounce. Silver had fallen to as low as $29.635 this morning.
COMEX gold futures, per the April contract, settled lower by $3.00, or 0.2%, at $1,362.50 per ounce. The yellow metal had tumbled to an intra-day low of $1,351.40, but rebounded alongside silver.
