Heading into the last day of the week, most asset classes stabilized after relentless selling over the last few days. Gold traded near unchanged at $1,346 per ounce, while oil and copper prices both inched higher.
Stronger stock prices in China and upbeat earnings reports from Google and General Electric helped give a boost to S&P 500 stock futures, which gained 6.70 to 1282.90.
